127 hours

Watched 127 hours movie by Danny Boyle...

What a film what a true triumphant story, a story of pain, regret, struggle and life

It matters how you handle yourself in good times but what matters most is how you handle in tough times.
Some break some lose some struggle some beat all odds and triumph in life.

Life is no bed of roses my friend.

The film is about Aron_Ralston a mountain climber who gets stuck between a boulder and a rock.
The struggle the pain the will with which he fights the situation and loses a arm to save his life.

He survives 5 grueling days with limited food & water
And recalls the time spent with his friends, family and is ashamed of his arrogance and the way he thought he was a hero and did not need anybody help so goes to a rock climbing without informing anybody literally anybody.

What if he had informed friends, family or coworker they might have searched him after a day or 2 and helped him but no thanks to his overconfidence and arrogance that lands him in deep shit.

He regrets not reply to his mother’s call the day he goes for rock climbing.

The way he thinks is that the boulder which fell on his arm was waiting all its life to fall on his arm and he was running all throughout his life   towards this boulder.

We take thing for granted friend’s family life and we only realize the importance when we miss them the most.

So many things go through his mind when he is stuck helplessly there praying for a miracle to overcome the situation.

He tries and tries many things slipping his arm from the rock, lifting the rock cutting part of rock to release his arm but all in vane  his confidence keep tumbling day by day.
He thinks he will die and records his message to friends, family and confesses that he loves them so much.

We all go through tough times and the one who handles them well goes far ahead in life.
Tough times makes us strong never fear of tough times try to face challenges & give your best shot even if you fail you are satisfied that you gave everything.

My thoughts
The limitation is all in our minds but if you think you can survive then yes you have to believe it and just believing will not help but need to put all your efforts and take the unbearable pain

If Aron thought he is dead & kept on praying for a miracle with trying then he would have never overcome the situation.

He took an extreme step to lose an arm and gain life.

I value my friends, family more than ever after staying away from them for 6 months now
Show your friends family how much you love now today who knows what’s gone to happen tomorrow.

After surviving the situation Aron_Ralston always leaves a message or informs family friends before going for a Rock Climbing.

Moral of the Story…
·         Inform family, friends before going on an outing, trek, tour so that in an unfortunate situation your loved once can help you.
·         Do not fear Failure a man without failure has not tried or lead a complete life.
·         Show love and care to your friends, family

P.S. Live life fully enjoy every moment who knows kal ho na ho…

Lifte Stages

For most of us our faith or "what are we going to be is decided"
at the time of our birth itself

If a person wanted to be a Doctor & if he is not able to fulfill that then he might or
want his son to be the Doctor & by doing so they feel privileged that they have achieved the goal

People generally has this tendency to tell people that his son or daughter is very clever, sharp
and try to show case there children by saying the below

Asking there kids to show nose, ears different parts of the body, mouths ,numbers and songs from the kinder garden

 "Twinkle Twinkle little star" :)
Asking there kids to talk in English
Asking there kids to sing songs
Asking there kids to Dance :)

This part of the life is called "Showcasing"

Enjoy this phase of life with your children's & experience the childhood once again.
Spend quality time with your kids rather than on your profession.
Money is important but you should not stay away from home, family kids.
Don't worry too much about your child's future as far as you give good education to your kids.

Part2 is during the school phase from First Standard to 6th ,
This phase kids just learn almost everything from school so you should be checking about your kids academics & extra curricular activities
because if kids get well with friends & comfortable that is when they can freely learn in school.
 Keep check of there studies,extracurriculars.
Encourage your kids on taking new hobbies, don't always pressurize your kids on studies allow them
to have a balanced life style where they get to enjoy play study.

I have seen many parent comparing kids marks to someone who is scoring more & criticizing.
This will make no good to you & your kids.
Motivate then to score more marks rather then comparing & criticizing.Give some small perks now and then to motivate & inspire them to study more.

Cultivating some hobbies adds creative thinking in kids rather than traditional mugging up.
 Hobbies like reading,painting,photography,dancing.

Boarding school are often preferred by parent to get there children's a better future.
I don't believe in boarding school as i think its the best years of life which need to be enjoyed with family
and if you are following children's academics, behavior, extra curricular activities then i guess they can do better in home itself.

This age need lot of love & support and a attachment with family generally happens in childhood.

I have seen people where many have there kids with there Grandparent, family when they have being going places on job transfers.
Kids will not be in touch with family & will get use to it & there dies the attachment with parents.
Kids will not be completely open with any body.

Just wherever you go get along with your family & kids.

   Part3 (Standard 7th to 10th)
Many people are missed guided about the children's potential in this phase as there is so many
copying goes on during the public exams that a guy scores about 70-80 by copying & parent
if they are not following there children's studies they might get carried away with the results
which does not reflect there true potential of there children

No kid who has scored 70-80 by copying will admit that he has scored the marks by copying

So if parents don't know about there children's potential they might think about ambitious course like Medical engineering
& end up the kid in highly challenging course which might be beyond the par of the kids

this will hinder the child confidence

Plan in advance about the child's future like what profession he or she wants to choose

discuss with the kids to know the interest of the child

Consulting & guidance is what lacks in our India i guess.

A good guidance helps a lot in choosing a career

Will continue on
Part 5 ( Life in College)
Part 6 ( Life in Degree)
Part 7 ( Life in Profession)

Meaning:
A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person

Had been taking many portrait photos on many friends so would like to share.
A portrait speaks about a person,his expression,current mood.
That's it no i think you are pissed by now about theory lets get practical see the pics.

some of my childhood thoughts

I still remember some of my thoughts from my childhood when i was around 8 years i guess.

1.JOB & My Future
what i will become once i grow up ?
who will give me the job ?
what type of job i would do ?

I even thought if anybody would ever give me a job
I thought if i learn ironing then i could press clothes or if i learn driving i might even work as cab driver it was when i was some 8 years old.(i smile whenever i remember those days)

2.Why sleep at night ?
I use to wonder why people sleep at night when i wanted to play around.
I thought people use to sleep in the night because there is no light outside.

I even thought that in future some scientist will develop a huge mirror so that the sun rays are reflected by mirror in the night & so we have sunlight all days & night so no need to sleep .
I could play all days & even in night.

Put your weird, different childhood thoughts in comments below

Batu Caves- Lord Murugan

Picture

Let me share some of places in Kuala lumpur.
The first trip in Malaysia was to Batu caves
How to reach there:

From KL sentral take the LRT to Gombak station & from there you can take taxi to batu caves
Take KTM train from KL sentral which directly takes you to Batu Caves in Rm1 only.

Things to do: Visit Murugan Temple, Caves
We meaning me & Anand piddi went to Batu caves from KL sentral by taking LRT because we didn’t know about the KTM train so reached murugan temple.

The place is awesome the caves are formed from limestone we need to cover 272 steps to reach the cave which takes breath out of you provided you have good fitness.

It was a good experience to climb & have darshan of lord murugan.
We took some snaps of lord murugan & some I was there kind of snaps
We had some good lunch from the tamil restaurant only rice but the taste was awesome.

The funny thing which happened there was Anand lost his Sandal cannot believe that we can lose sandal in  Malaysia J.Anand need to do paada yatra without pada rakshaka .

There were pigeons in front of the temple where people were feeding them & kids were having fun in chasing & playing with pigeons. we tried to get hold of some candid moments.

Overall the trip  was good to see some greenery, lord murugan blessings & a get away from KL city.

Checkout some snaps from the trip.

2010 year of learning, earning and Shopping

Which camera to buy ?

I have been following photography as a hobby from  4 years now & i enjoy it a lot you can see my photos on my site
http://laxmanhabib.weebly.com/photoshoot.html

Why i am writing this post is because many people want to buy high end camera with higher features like 20X zoom,3D photo ,3D panorama & once they buy they will not use the camera that much .In my view they are wasting time & money.
Buy a camera which u may use well, think what your needs are & how you are going to use the camera & then purchase.

I have taking many pics with my mobile SonyEriccson w710i decent picture quality for 2MP.I have captured so many memories, trip photos & many others.
Bought a digital camera after 4 months of research SX120 is.
Medium size,10MP,10X zoom & AA batteries It has Manual, Shutter priority, Aperture priority mode which helped me a lot to learn about photography.
Now I own a DSLR D3100 just wanted more controls & wanted to explore new things in photography.

When my friends, people see a DSLR they say it’s very costly, very bulky and less zoom (with KIT lens).
I want to discuss that there are different camera for different purpose & different category.
  • Simple Pocket Size camera
  • Pocket size Zoom camera
  • Bulky Extra zoom camera.
  • DSLR

Simple is Best
If you don’t want complication & just want to capture moment, trip, family function & shoot some videos then a simple pocket size camera is what you need small, simple & budget friendly.
My friend Madhu just bought a Finepix AV100 it cost 4999 INR which is a excellent worth for money has all the features like 12MP,3x zoom, HD recording ,AA batteries.
The SmartAuto is wonder wonderful thing it selects modes depending on the scene like
if you go to close to a subject macro, if it’s too dark then night mode.

Just set the camera in SmartAuto & enjoy great picture & AA is an added advantage you can keep spare batteries & shoot like 400 pics with 4 AA rechargeable batteries.

Suitable for
  • Family pictures
  • Landscape
  • Macro
  • Portrait
Best simple & economic camera at 5000 INR

Pocket size Zoom camera

If you need some features to try out some photographs setting & extra zoom then yes there are cameras but bit pricy.
I am talking about a camera that can be used by anybody in family & if interested then you can explore photographic settings with Manual, Shutter priority and aperture priority modes.
Explore the world of photography with extra control & extra zoom.
Let me give you a example of such cameras
12MP, 12X zoom, AA batteries and HD recording bit bulky at price of 11K INR
14MP, 14X zoom, AA batteries and HD recording at price of 14K INR

 Suitable for
  • Family use
  • To experiment Photography
  • Manual, Aperture, Shutter modes

Best for family use & to try out new things in photography @ 11-14 INR

Extra zoom camera as good as DSLR

If you are very much interested in photography & take it as hobby then you some go ahead with a camera loaded with zoom and photographic setting.
I would have loved to buy a SX 30 IS which has never before seen features.
Features
Mammoth 35X Zoom
14MP, HD recording, ISO 1600.

The features are so good that you might not consider to buy DSLR since for the same features you may need to buy a lot of zoom lens which will cost you dear but a DSLR is a DSLR.

With such a zoom 35X you can shoot many close-up shot of birds animals flowers from a long distance you are planning to go to ZOO, safari, trekking you can capture anything from a long distance.

This camera also can be used by any family members without much hassle just set in auto & enjoy your pictures but you may complain about the size & weight of the camera but at least it gives you a ease of operation with AUTO mode.

To experiment with photography we have
Manual, Shutter priority and aperture priority modes.
Shutter speed range is form 15-1/4000 can take long exposure shot
Can freeze a fast moving object like bird, car & get excellent pics.

Canon SX30 IS best suited if you are you want to take photography as hobby & also can be used by family members without much hassle and comes @ 22K INR
